In our fast-paced world, it’s easy to put your needs on the back burner. Whether you have been neglecting your self-care, fitness, or health or you just simply want to level up in your life, now is the time to optimize your wellness routines and habits for the ultimate glow-up.

Achieving the ultimate glow-up without the proper routines in place will not get you very far. Investing in your health and having the best self-care routines will not only help you look and feel your best but will change the way others see you.

I challenge you to dedicate this entire year to becoming the best version of yourself for the ultimate glow-up. This guide has tips on how to get the best night’s sleep, ways to improve your gut health, skincare tips and so much more to help you glow from the inside out.

TIP #1 – PRIORITIZE SLEEP

This seems obvious, but sleep is the backbone of your health. I take my sleep VERY seriously because quality sleep is critical for every function in the human body. Getting 8 hours of sleep every night will help enhance cellular turnover, produce collagen, regulate hormones, build muscle, help with weight management, and SO much more.

This is the BY FAR most important wellness tip to help you glow up in 2025, and the best part is it is completely FREE.

I wear my Oura ring, which contains sensors to track my sleep every night. In the morning, it sends me a sleep score that provides analytics on my sleep quality.

Since purchasing the Oura Ring, I have tried numerous things to help improve my sleep. From trial and error, here are the things that have noticeably improved my sleep score:

  • Turning of all electronics two hours before going to sleep
  • Wearing blue light blocking glasses to help with melatonin production
  • Taking a magnesium glycinate supplement
  • No caffeine after 1pm
  • Sleeping in a dark and cool room
  • Writing down thoughts in a journal to help with racing thoughts
  • Taking a magnesium flake bath before bed to promote relaxation

Tip #2 – FOCUS ON YOUR SKIN

Taking care of your skin is extremely important for your glow-up. Your skin is a reflection of what is going on within your body and is the first thing that someone sees when they look at you.

As someone who has struggled with my skin since I was a teenager, I know how much having acne can affect your self-esteem and confidence.

After spending THOUSANDS trying countless products and treatments that promised me clear skin, here are the skincare treatments and products that are ACTUALLY worth the money.

  • Microneedling – 1 do this 4x per year to help increase collagen. It helped with my acne scars, made my pores less noticeable and helped to even my skin tone
  • Red Light Therapy– Studies show that Red Light Therapy helps to increase collagen and cellular turnover. I noticed a huge difference in my hyperpigmentation with regular use of my red light therapy mask!
  • Alani-Nu Balance Supplements – Taking these supplements helped to balance my hormones and helped my acne clear up.
  • Skin Care – This depends on your skin type. If you have dry skin, focus on hydrating products. I have extremely oily skin, so I love to include ingredients like salicylic and glycolic acid. My skin is also very sensitive and does better when I use only around 3-4 products at a time.
  • Nutrition – I tend to stick to a higher protein and fat and lower carb diet because it makes my body feel its best. I try to incorporate lots of veggies and water with minerals to help my skin glow!
  • Spearmint Tea – Studies show it can potentially help to decrease androgens in the body and help to balance hormones.
  • Bone Broth – Crucial for gut health!! (See next point.) Packed with collagen, gelatin, and amino acids, it’s super easy to make at home. Just make sure to ask your butcher for organic grass-fed beef or chicken bones.
  • Limiting Alcohol – I only have a small amount of alcohol on special occasions. I noticed a huge difference in my skin when I cut out my evening glass of wine!

  • Gua Sha – It helped to snatch my face. There is a reason it has been around for thousands of years! It helps to increase lymphatic drainage and circulation to de-puff and de-bloat the face.

Hair maintenance should be on everyone’s glow-up checklist. Getting regular trims, deep conditioning weekly, scalp massages and scalp oiling can have a huge impact on your hair health. Another great way to improve your hair is to sleep with a silk pillowcase, which helps to reduce friction and retain moisture.

Tip #6 – BODY CARE

  • Make sure you are put together when leaving the house. Ensure Clothes are not wrinkled or stained.
  • Have your hair done. When I am short of time my go-to hairstyle is a slick back bun.
  • Look more put together by wearing some jewelry such as earrings, rings and necklaces.
  • Regularly tweezing your eyebrows
  • Routinely shaving your body or investing in laser hair removal
  • Make sure your nails are clean and manicured.
  • Make sure you smell good.
